Set up Global Flow Preset Engine & Multi-Service Cart correctly
This page explains how to configure the two most important booking-flow controls in JavisTab Booking Pro: 🧭 Global Flow Preset Engine and 🧺 Multi-Service Cart. It is written for client onboarding, support teams and site admins who need a clean, reliable setup for restaurants, cafés, spas, salons, barbershops, classes, tours and group bookings.
What these two settings control
Global Flow Preset Engine changes the live customer journey without rewriting the booking, payment or license engines. It decides which steps appear, which labels customers see, whether staff/services/packages are shown, and how group appointment behavior is presented.
Multi-Service Cart controls whether customers can add more than one service to a single booking. In v6 it supports sequential single-customer visits, group appointments, guest-by-guest assignment, bulk group mode and auto-staggered service waves when staff count is lower than guest count.
Important: choose a preset first, then tune Multi-Service Cart. Presets can automatically turn services, staff, packages and group behavior on or off at runtime. Use Custom only when you want to preserve all manual toggles.
Recommended setup order for clients
Pick the industry preset
Go to Javis Booking Pro → Settings → Bookings → Form Customisation → Global Flow Preset Engine. Choose the preset that matches the client’s business type.
Confirm visible steps
Review the active runtime behavior pills: Services, Staff, Packages, Multi-service and Mode. This prevents restaurant forms from accidentally showing spa-style service selection.
Configure Multi-Service Cart
For appointment businesses, enable Multi-Service Cart. Choose Group parallel for spa/salon/barber group appointments or Continuous visit for one guest booking several services in sequence.
Run a live-form QA test
Open the actual booking page in an incognito window. Test date, guests, service, staff, package, payment method, email and language/currency switcher.

🧺 Multi-Service Cart ⓘ
Multi-Service Cart lets a customer add multiple services to the same booking. It is essential for spa packages, salon combinations, barber add-ons, group appointments and bulk service bookings.
Multi-Service Cart fields
Turn this on for spa, salon, barbershop, beauty, nails, tour add-ons or any service bundle flow.
Use group_parallel when several guests receive services at the same time. Use continuous_visit when one customer books multiple services in sequence.
Default is 10. Guests 1–10 can be assigned individually; 11–200 use bulk group mode.
Use Auto-stagger when staff count is lower than guest count, for example 5 guests with 4 staff.
Guest-by-guest threshold: how group bookings behave
Go to Javis Booking Pro → Settings → Bookings → Multi-Service Cart → Guest-by-guest threshold.

Use multi-location or departure pages, packages enabled, bulk group mode, deposit or full payment.
Keep service selection simple, staff/resource strict, fewer packages, clear confirmation email.

Should restaurants use Multi-Service Cart?
Usually no. Restaurant and café flows should focus on location, date, party size, timeslot, package/menu and payment. Use Multi-Service Cart only when the restaurant sells add-on experiences or paid packages that behave like services.
Should spas and barbershops enable Multi-Service Cart?
Yes. It allows one guest to book multiple services and allows groups to choose guest-specific treatments. For 1-on-1 staff services, enable per-service staff availability and Auto-stagger.
